Essie & Sally Hansen Swatches + Chevron & Polka Dots.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today I want to share some swatches (first one!) (;

Okay so the two colors that I am going swatch are Blue Away by Sally Hansen Inst-Dri (on thumb, index finger, and, pinky) and Turquoise & Caicos by Essie (on middle & ring finger). The design is done in the color Heavy Metal by Sinful Colors.

I also decided to do something different and mix some dots and chevrons!

I got the chevron print by cutting out tape and then using the little triangles that come off on my cuticle area & tips of my nails. i did this so I wouldn't have just one line of chevron in the middle!

Tutti Frutti Nails?

Evening everyone!

Yesterday I worked really hard on these nail inspired by my summery wallpaper I found on Pinterest!

I haven't done freehand nail art in a long time and I haven't draw fruit before!

But I tried and it turned out pretty cute!

This picture is what inspired these nails and I'm very happy with them-but I will admit, I need more practice! 

I started out using the Sally Hansen Nail Art pen (picture on my Instagram!) but it didn't work out because too much polish comes out to do intricate designs. But I will try the it for another nail art design to give a more accurate/fair review. But some tips for these pen are: be careful when taking off the cap after shaking it-some polish might fall out; also if you want a small amount of polish on the tip only press down (on the hard surface) a little...or you will get more polish than ya bargained for on your nail!

All in all I had so much fun doing these nails!

& white is perfect for Summer because it's bright and makes a statement!

Summer Sunset Nails

SOOOOOOO...I'm back with another nail post! These nails were super simple to make and super fun to wear.

I started off with a simple two toned color gradient with Orly's Spark and Sally Hansen extreme wear Coral Reef. I did two coats with Spark and then did the gradient, if you don't know how to to a gradient manicure I would be happy to make a picture tutorial on that, so let me know(:


So I wanted spice things up by kind of making a mix and match kind of nail art but I also wanted to use colors that would pop and make sure that summer is staying alive! So here are my Summer Sunset Nails....

For the thumb, middle finger and pinky finger I did the gradient. Then for my forefingers I did a simple tape-mani with a rhinestone and for my ring fingers I did a tape stencil in the shape of a heart.
