Where Have You Gone Mani Monday?

 Hey guys!
Today I want to tell you guys why I haven't been posting for Mani Monday.

Lately my poor nails have been super brittle and they also had a very bad case of peeling. Due to that I wanted to give them a break; I paint them a color one week and then give them a week to 'rest'.

Doing this has actually helped my nails and I couldn't be happier.

I started using LAUNCHPAD by Dermelect Cosmeceuticals around a month and a half ago. I choose this product because its 3-free (Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde and Toluene). Every time I read the ingredients for a polish that would help my nails it always had one of the Big-3 so I was jsut at a lost.

But one day in ULTA, I asked one of the ladies if they knew of any product that would fight against peeling but was 3-free and she led me to LAUNCHPAD. Now, this product is a little bit on the expensive side but for me it is totally worth it! Also I feel like an important question is, "Does it get gooey after a while?" and the answer as of right now would have to be no and I am about 1/4 done with the bottle.

Here are some pics of what my nails look like now (with one coat of LAUNCHPAD)

Some nails still have a bit to go but for the most part my nails are getting stronger and longer every day! If you guys have any suggestions of products to help nails, feel free to comment below!

I hope this little review was helpful & don't worry Mani Monday will be back very soon!(:

Soooo, I've decided on a series guys! I have forever been a nail polish fanatic & it's something near & dear to my heart-so why not create a series about it! (;

Every Monday I'll be sharing my nails, 'nailspiration' or nails I like. I hope you'll like it (:

Now, today I want to share my Pink and Lavender Ikat nails.

The Pink is by Color Club (the name tag fell off, sorry! But I'm pretty sure it's Flamingo)
The Lavender is Nice Is Nice by Essie
The White is Snow Me White by Sinful Colors
The black is just a black striper-use any black ya have(;

They are very simple nails but make a statement(:

Now don't get me wrong Ikat can be a little tricky sometimes, but you just have to think your way through it haha!

Tutti Frutti Nails?

Evening everyone!

Yesterday I worked really hard on these nail inspired by my summery wallpaper I found on Pinterest!

I haven't done freehand nail art in a long time and I haven't draw fruit before!
But I tried and it turned out pretty cute!

This picture is what inspired these nails and I'm very happy with them-but I will admit, I need more practice!

I started out using the Sally Hansen Nail Art pen (picture on my Instagram!) but it didn't work out because too much polish comes out to do intricate designs. But I will try the it for another nail art design to give a more accurate/fair review. But some tips for these pen are: be careful when taking off the cap after shaking it-some polish might fall out; also if you want a small amount of polish on the tip only press down (on the hard surface) a little...or you will get more polish than ya bargained for on your nail!

All in all I had so much fun doing these nails!
& white is perfect for Summer because it's bright and makes a statement!

What's on your nails?
let me now below!

DIY Sugar Scrub! mmmm(:

Hey! I'm back with a little DIY tutorial that will make your hands or any other areas of the body super smooth.

Again as I have stated in my Important Stuff Page, I am in no way a professional! This is just something that I have made and that I like to use in order to get soft skin(:

Coconut Oil does have skin moisturizing properties along with anti-bacterial properties (so it's great for feet!). Jojoba Oil is great to use as an anti-inflammatory, skin moisturizer  (treating dry skin), and also is used in cosmetics because it minimizes pores and fine lines/wrinkles and won't clog pores. Sounds great, right?!

Now onto the fun stuff(; For this scrub I used Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, and just regular ole' sugar! I don't have a 'recipe' for this, but I do recommend equal parts of the oils and then put twice as much sugar as you did oil into the mix (or just enough to make it thick as you see in my photo tutorial). Afterwards you"ll have baby soft hands and they will smell like coconut, yummy! Here is my tutorial below!(:

1. Gather materials: Jojoba oil, Coconut oil, A small cup or jar (whatever your preference), nail brush, Sugar & a spoon or anything to stir the scrub with.
2. Put jojoba oil and coconut oil together.
3. Heat oils in the microwave for about 10 seconds ( if using a small cup and amount like mine shown above. If not add more time, around 5 or 6 seconds at a time.).
4. Add Sugar!
5.This is just to show that separating of the oil and sugar may occur, this is natural(: (But if your oil doesn't rise it's also okay, I have a generic recipe but at the same time add the amount of sugar for the intensity of exfoliation your skin can handle).
6. Tada!! You now have you own sugar scrub that will blow you away! Now go scrub!(:

Have Fun and if you have you own oils test them out and maybe you could make a brand new scrub, if so let me know in the comments below!

Rain, Rain, Go Away...

So its been raining where I live almost all week! And I'm not the biggest fan of rain haha

Sooooo, I've actually been on the lookout for rainy day hair-styles. When it rains the humidity increases dramatically and my hair doesn't like that too much, it starts to get frizzy and plus I will start to have Tracy Turnblad hair without using any hairspray(;

I was looking into braided hairstyles like my fav, the French Braid and things like buns (which I had to thrown my hair into today). But the other day I had a french braid that led to a bun that I will show below...

This was actually a fun hair style to wear and I might even turn my bun that I have now into it (:

But what about you? Do you have any hair-styles that you wear during the summer for rainy days? Hot summer days? If so let me know in the comments below!(:

WEN(:

Hey out there!I just wanted to say that I have gotten WEN Cleansing Conditioner!

Have any of  you ever use it before?

Well WEN is supposed to be something revolutionary, something big, something new! Right on WEN's site it says that WEN is...
WEN® Cleansing Conditioner is a revolutionary new concept in hair care. A 5-in-1 formula, this one product takes the place of your shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler and leave-in conditioner. It cleanses hair thoroughly but without lathering and all the harsh ingredients that may be found in ordinary shampoos-it is designed not to strip your hair and scalp of their natural oils. Your hair is left with strength, moisture and manageability.
This seems great, right? I can not wait to , try it! My hair is relaxed and healthy but it would be better if I could find a hair care product that wouldn't use any chemicals in order to keep my hair looking: beautiful, healthy and frizz free (sense humidity is its worst during the summer months). I purchased the Fig WEN, it has a a very strong, earthly smell to it; but the only thing that I am waiting on is the WEN Styling Creme and then I will be ready to jump into the world of WEN! If any of you have use WEN, tell l me how it went for you.
